From the many outdoor activities to great restaurants. You’ll want to come back for more.
Morgan County is surrounded by the back of the high majestic Wasatch Mountains. The area is often called the “Wasatch Back” as opposed to the “Wasatch Front” where the greater population lives. Our area is slightly higher in elevation making it cooler in the hot summer months and also cooler in the winter. Snow can accumulate, especially in the mountains, making for great outdoor winter activities.
Morgan is home to Snow Basin Ski Resort, which hosted events for the 2002 Winter Olympics. Summer hiking and biking trails are available, summer gondola rides to the peak, where great food is served at the restaurant and occasional special entertainment events at the resort. Winter skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing or just sledding can be done on and near the resort property.
East Canyon State Park is a boating, fishing, camping and pic-nicking destination. Access to the park is a scenic drive from Morgan, Henefer or Park City so come enjoy this local attraction.
If you are in the mood for food Morgan County offers several restaurants from fine food to fast food. Pot Roast, burgers, pizza, subs and more are available. Just check out our dining page for locations and links.
River rafting, horseback riding, fishing, historical tours, city events throughout the year, camping, shopping, dining and just the scenic drive are all available to enjoy in Morgan County so come out and explore.
